There is no easy way to deal with trauma, so in order to account for all preferences, we going to continue our normal content schedule. Our thoughts are with Hamlin and his family as we all hope for his swift and full recovery. If you would like to contribute to Hamlin's charity, we strongly encourage donations be made here.
As the season draws to a close, many people will be taking stock of their roster and making plans for next season; however, you can react and still take advantage before people have gotten to this point in their off-season while they're still thinking about the 2022 title. This week, I've focused on a few players whose value I expect to change significantly as soon as the season draws close.
Samuel was incredible in 2021; he broke out hugely and finished as the WR3 in points per game. He showed fantastic versatility in how he was used all over the field and could easily compile fantasy points. Well, come 2022, a mix of injuries and competition reduced his impact from a fantasy perspective. His overall target volume hasn't changed significantly, down to 24.4% from 26.4%; the most significant difference has been his overall efficiency, down to 1.7 points per touch from 2.5 in his breakout 2021 season.
Despite this drop in production and being another year older, his dynasty value has remained in the same sphere. He has seen a slight decline from being an early second-round start-up pick through the summer to an early third-round pick in December ADP.
As we head into the off-season and people think about how disappointing he was this year (regardless of the reasons), combined with the fact he will be 27 shortly, I expect his dynasty value to tumble.
