Ryan isn’t there some room for Lat Murray? I watched the game on and off until midway thru the fourth and then watched the finish. I noticed Murray was getting most of the snaps. I heard Williams missed a block so might they give more murray snaps going forward?

Good article. I like this format with quick hitting notes on a lot of topics and the resulting strategy ideas.

Great article, but comparing Aiyuk to Pettis is a bit lazy IMO. Pettis never had a season like Aiyuk’s rookie year last year. He’s clearly shown he can play in the NFL (unlike Pettis) so if he fails it’s either because of an undisclosed work ethic-type of problem, or if Trent Sherfield is just some amazing diamond in the rough that they can’t keep off the field. I guess those things are possible (and if you believe it, why aren’t you chasing Sheffield?) but doesn’t it seem much more likely that he’s just slow to come back from his hamstring injury?

I just want to add that last offseason, Shanahan was praising Aiyuk, saying he came in and knew how to act like a pro, and what was expected of him so I am a bit puzzled by the news that he is learning to be a “pro.”
