DLF is Now on Patreon
Over the past few years, DLF has made some incredible improvements. We’ve added a whole host of tools we created or acquired, expanded our content offering, offered more and more resources and continued to grow the DLF Community. The one thing we consistently hear is, “We want more.”
While 1,000 articles a year and the whole host of tools and resources we offer is more than enough for many of our loyal followers, we know there are some out there looking for even more information, personal interaction with owners and writers and, frankly, just more DLF!
Enter Patreon.
The Patreon platform is going to help us build direct relationships with our most engaged and loyal community members. I’m sure you have plenty of questions, so I’ll try to get most of them out the way here in advance.
What is Patreon?
Patreon is a crowdfunding platform that enables users to pay and support sites for unique work. It’s a completely separate site and platform that allows fans to contribute to their favorite sites.

Why would I sign up?
That’s a completely unique decision for everyone. Patreon is going to offer us the ability to have a very unique and direct relationship with a select few members of the DLF community. In short, you will have the ability to have unprecedented access. The ability to have bonus content, bonus podcasts, bonus information and the personalized experience of chats with the DLF owners and writers with a smaller number of people is going to appeal to some. To some, it may not. We’d love to get a nice sub-community out here to help them with a more personalized experience because frankly, we’ve had lots of folks ask for it through the years. We just love having the ability to say, “Hey gang, let’s do a live chat tonight with a DLF owner or expert and talk rookies for an hour.” This platform allows us to do just that. We already have some exclusive content out there.
Is this going to affect the current offerings of the site?
No! Let me repeat that. NO! The DLF experience won’t change a bit. You likely saw the post earlier this week about our draft content plans on the site. As you can tell, we’re not slowing down a bit. The community has just grown exponentially over the past years and we wanted to find a way to create a truly personalized experience only for those who want it without sacrificing the quality of the site. If we were going to slow down, we certainly wouldn’t have joined forces with FFStatistics, built the Trade Analyzer, built our other resources or ramped up on the content front. That won’t change.
Are there a limited number of seats available on Patreon?
We feel this is going to be a very specialized, personalized and unique experience. We certainly can’t provide that for 10,000 people at the moment. There aren’t limits at the moment, but we’d likely cap it when and if we felt we couldn’t deliver on that promise.
