The Dynasty Aftermath: Week Sixteen
Welcome to DLF’s Dynasty Aftermath. This Tuesday staple is our longest running signature piece as we have a little fun after a tough week at the Dynasty League Football office. You’ll find this article will review the week’s happenings in a variety of ways and help set you up for the coming weeks as we spin around the league in the way we know best.
Let’s take a look back at the week that was!
Week Sixteen Fantasy MVP
Countless owners out there were stuck without Aaron Rodgers again this week and many turned to Andy Dalton in hopes he could keep their team afloat during championship week. The Red Rifle delivered big-time with 366 passing yards and four touchdowns, not only keeping teams in games, but winning them for many as well. The much maligned Dalton has been under fire for most of the year, but he’s performed like a top five option for most of the year. He may not be the sexy pick to click, but he’s had a great season, capped off with a great week 16 performance.
Week Sixteen Fantasy LVP
The Cardinals pulled off an improbable upset in Seattle, but Larry Fitzgerald wasn’t a part of it. Fitz came back from a concussion to post just three catches for just 18 yards. Fitzgerald has enjoyed a bounce back campaign this season, but he just wasn’t able to produce in the most important week this year. Â Such is fantasy football!
Lineup Fun
The unbeatable lineup of the week…
QB Peyton Manning DENÂ = 400 passing yards, four touchdowns

WR Eric Decker DEN =Â Ten catches, 131 receiving yards, two touchdowns

WR Pierre Garcon WAS = 11 catches, 144 receiving yards, one touchdown
TE Tony Gonzalez ATLÂ = Eight catches, 63 receiving yards, one touchdown
The dominant underdog lineup of the week…
QB Geno Smith NYJÂ = 214 passing yards, 48 rushing yards, three total touchdowns
RB Bryce Brown PHIÂ = 115 rushing yards, one touchdown
RB Edwin Baker CLEÂ =Â 64 rushing yards, one touchdown
RB Mark Ingram NOÂ = 83 rushing yards

Gut Checks
I’d be worried if I’m starting any New England running back this week, championship final or not.
I’d be worried if I have any Chiefs players in a week 17 final. Looks like they may just be resting.
I’d be worried if I thought Roddy White was washed up.
I’d be worried if I didn’t think Pierre Garcon is the most underrated receiver in fantasy.
I’d be worried if I was still holding on to Greg Little.
I’d be worried if I thought that one performance from Geno Smith erases the bad we’ve seen all year.
I’d be worried if I had Case Keenum. If the Texans end up with the first pick, chances are that’s a quarterback.
I’d be worried if I wasn’t targeting Joique Bell this off-season.
I’d be worried if I didn’t at least put some stock into what Ryan Mathews has been doing lately.
I’d be worried if I put TOO much stock into what Ryan Mathews has been doing lately.
I’d be worried if I didn’t think Cordarrelle Patterson could be a stud with a decent quarterback.
I’d be worried if I didn’t already have my off-season plan together.
I’d be worried if I didn’t get my hands on the Dynasty Game Plan to help me do that.
I’d be worried if I put too much stock into anything from this week. Don’t get cute with your lineups in championship week – play who got you there!
