Week six was headlined by an alarming number of helmet-to-helmet hits instead of breakout fantasy performances. Regardless, there’s a lot to discuss in the Week Six Aftermath.
Week Six Fantasy MVP
After DeSean Jackson was nearly decapitated, Jeremy Maclin stepped up and grabbed seven balls for 159 yards and two touchdowns. With Jackson seemingly out indefinitely with a concussion, Maclin owners have to be salivating at what could come in the next couple of games.
Week Six Fantasy LVP
After Randy Moss was traded to Minnesota, many owners held out hope that Brandon Tate would finally break out and be a dominant fantasy force. Instead, Tate had just one catch for 22 yards on a measly four targets. Meanwhile, Deion Branch hopped off the bus from Seattle and had nine catches for 98 yards and one touchdown on a massive twelve targets.

I’d be worried if…
I own Shonn Greene. Each week brings us more and more LaDainian Tomlinson and Greene isn’t even flex play consideration at the moment.
I’m still holding out hope for Mike Sims-Walker. His inconsistency is absolutely maddening at the moment.
I have Donovan McNabb as my No. 1 quarterback. We’re six weeks into the season and he still hasn’t had a game where he’s thrown more than one touchdown pass.
I think I’ve got the Rams receiving corps figured out. Just when you think Danny Amendola is the best option, here comes Danario Alexander. With so many hands in the pot, this is a situation to avoid for a few weeks.
I don’t have a viable backup behind DeSean Jackson or Antonio Gates. It doesn’t look like we may see either for a bit.
I expect Brandon Tate to fill Randy Moss’ shoes. If this week’s game was any indication, he’s clearly not ready.
I own Knowshon Moreno in a dynasty league. He’s being worked back in a little slowly, but he doesn’t look the part at the moment.
I’m holding out hope for John Carlson. He has all the talent, but is simply lost in the mix right now for the Seahawks.
I have Marques Colston as my No. 1 or even my No. 2 wide receiver. It’s not time to pull the fire alarm quite yet, but we’re six weeks into this thing and he has yet to have a 100 yard game OR score a touchdown.
I’m counting on Ryan Mathews to be a breakout performer. He’s working himself back into the mix, but it’s hard to imagine him being the sole back in San Diego any time soon.

A Look Ahead to Hot Names on the Week Seven Waiver Wire
1. Deion Branch, WR, NE
Maybe Seattle did actually have some good wide receivers.
2. Matt Moore, QB, CAR
Clausen has been benched, so Moore could be a bye week fill in for a desperate team.
3. Ben Watson, TE, CLE
Watson has been coming on as of late and Colt McCoy looked his way early and often. Look for that to continue if McCoy retains the starting job.
4. Patrick Crayton, WR, SD
He talks a good game, but rarely puts one together. After Malcom Floyd and Antonio Gates went down, he turned in a 117 yard performance.
5. Michael Jenkins, WR, ATL
His inconsistency is maddening, but Jenkins put together a nice game in his first week back.
6. Danario Alexander, WR, STL
This undrafted rookie caught a touchdown pass and had 72 yards in his debut. He’s worth the pickup, but it comes with a big buyer beware sign. He has major knee issues.
7. Kyle Boller, QB, OAK
If Gradkowski and Campbell are out, meet your new starter!
8. Jason Avant, WR, PHI
DeSean Jackson had a game to forget, literally. Avant will take his spot and get a fair share of targets.
9. Nate Burleson, WR, DET
Two straight games with a touchdown for Nate.
10. Andrew Quarless, TE, GB
We left him off this list last week because we just weren’t impressed, but with all the injuries out there to tight ends, he’s worth looking into.

whats your current take on jonathan dwyer ? is it worth continuing to hold on to him at this point or is it just not going to happen. I still believe there is tallent there but will he get an opportunity any time soon ?
If you’re an avid reader of DLF, you probably know I’m not a huge Dwyer fan and haven’t been since the draft. However, he does still have some ability and showed that late in the preseason.
It really all depends on how big your league is. If you have a roster size of less than 24 or so, I think it’s tough to hold on to him.
He’s an easy stash in larger dynasty leagues, though.
You waiver suggestions suck as your advice does too I’d suspect.
Well Fred, we ask our readers to keep in mind a couple of things with our advice and articles.
1.) We don’t repeat waiver suggestions, that’s why you may not see the obvious pickups here – they’ve already been suggested and hopefully taken either this year or even over the previous Summer.
2.) Our focus here is dynasty related more than in-season related, thus many of the waiver suggestions and advice we give is based on a constant evolution of a team.
You can go to any site out there and find the obvious players mentioned, but we cater to a more professional group of dynasty players here. That means we take some reaches and make suggestions for rosters that are usually 30 or 40 deep.
I’d invite you to keep coming back to check us out. We have no problem being accountable for our suggestions and lineup advice. In fact, we publish the ones we got right AND wrong every week.
We certainly don’t mind people calling us out. In fact, we invite it every week. I think that’s what makes this site useful.

Excellent response Ken and still a great site for dynasty owners, good luck finding another one out there specificaly designed for dynasty and keeper leagues.
Gonads is a tool. After being in the same Dynasty league 20 years, this is the first site I have found that caters to the needs of someone who knows that every roster move could have playoff implications for years to come.
