Week One is in the books and already fantasy football managers are scrambling to save their seasons. Whether it is players placed on injured reserve or others expected to miss several weeks, this places a lot of stress on rosters trying to stay competitive after losing a centerpiece of their roster.
My name is Kyle Trimble, I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy, and injury analyst here at Dynasty League Football. I am here every week to break down the latest injuries and provide perspective on how to navigate the pitfalls that are injuries.

Let’s look at the various injuries heading into week 2 and any concerns moving forward for your fantasy championships.
Injury: Left MCL Sprain
Timetable to return: Week 4-5
Trying to engineer a game-winning drive in Brazil, Jordan Love suffered a left knee injury when Eagles DT Jalen Carter grabbed his leg to force him down. The video review showed his knee shift before he went down. Love required assistance to get off the field with heavy speculation about the severity of his knee injury.
Once the Packers landed back home, MRI results revealed an MCL sprain, one of the better potential outcomes for a return to play. The initial timeline for Love to return is in three-to-four weeks which means they are not placing him on injured reserve. Even when he does return, he will wear a hinged brace and lack mobility outside of the pocket. While Malik Willis is slated to start, he appears to be a risk fantasy-wise. You can roll with Willis or other players who are not owned heavily including Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, or Derek Carr as a short-term replacement.
