Nice article. Fitz was my favorite player in the league who isnt on my NFL team (Rams).
I sold him in early 2011 because of being so frustrated with not having Kurt Warner…or any sort of reliable/effective QB. I didnt sell low, so I am not complaining. However, despite the potentially vastly improved schemes brought in by Arians, I am still waiting to see whom they may get at QB before I think about buying him again. But with the arrival of Arians, my Sauron-like eye is back on Fitz.

      Love the Sauron-like eye comment!
And to be honest, I can’t blame anyone for not trusting in Fitz just yet because of the
Putrid QB play. I’d just rather buy him before something develops that raises the price.
Thanks for reading, always appreciate the comments/criticisms!

I parted with Fitz before this season in a deal to land Julio. Needless to say I’m a happy man. But I do like Fitz a lot and hope to see him produce the way he deserves. Great article.

Thanks for the kind words, Drew, and I can’t blame you for trading Fitz in a deal for Julio…well done!

I think Fitz will turn it around in 2013. Arians is a good start. Much like the stock market, making moves against common opinion can be difficult, but often rewarding. Fitz finished as the #54 in one of my PPR leagues. That would put him as a WR flex play at best in a 12 team league. Given his name value, his price will likely be more than a flex WR, but if Fitz can be had for WR3 prices, I’m all over it. Fitz will be 30 by next year, and should have 3-5 years of solid production left. Arizona can’t possibly be dumb enough to believe their current QB situation makes sense. If the owners/GM of the Cardinals can’t figure out they need a QB to get Fitz the ball, the only franchise they should be running is on Madden 13. I expect Fitz to resume WR1 numbers next year, but if you wait to buy him, it will be too late.

Great points, Scott. I should have included:
” Fitz will be 30 by next year, and should have 3-5 years of solid production left.” into my article.
And I also agree with you that Fitz still has name value- so if you’re going to make a move, do it now because it shouldn’t cost you a ton…

      Thanks for reading.
