In case you are reading this, there is one bit of information to know before you start reading names. Just like last year’s series, we will be utilizing player rostership percentages, courtesy of real dynasty rosters from 1,700 MFL leagues. While this may not be entirely accurate for every individual league, it is very reflective of how managers view who is worthy or not of a roster spot. Now that that’s covered, let’s dive into the waiver wire after week 17!
Players to double-check availability and immediately add:
The name of the game for this week’s article is going to be players who *could* gain value this off-season due to free agency or changing situations and I will continue to spread Carson Wentz propaganda in superflex leagues. If anything, the 2023 season has proven to us that backup quarterbacks are not only valuable in case of injuries, but potentially even league winners (Joe Flacco is going to win Cleveland a Super Bowl and I’m here for it). We’ve also seen quarterbacks that we’ve more-or-less left for dead in fantasy revitalize their careers as bridge quarterbacks who play well enough to earn a second chance. Wentz checks both of those potential boxes if he were to be given a chance in 2024. He is not a great NFL quarterback, but he is definitely a good fantasy quarterback, and him being available in 60% of superflex leagues on MFL is insane to me given the free upside at the most important position in superflex.
