Texans wide receiver John Metchie had three catches for 29 yards in a win against the Colts.
The line isn't anything to write home about, but it's quite possible the Texans have lost Stefon Diggs at least in the short-term, and possibly for the season. If Nico Collins remains out, Metchie has a chance to finally emerge in dynasty leagues opposite Tank Dell. He should be on rosters everywhere at this point.

The Texans are fielding calls on the availability of John Metchie.
This comes as no surprise as the Texans already have Stefon Diggs, Nico Collins and Tank Dell as their three mainstays and Metchie is little more than a luxury at the moment. Still, Diggs is on a one-year deal and Houston may choose to keep Metchie, rather than deal him. Managers with him on their roster have to be hoping for a trade considering his strong training camp. Stay tuned as nothing seems imminent. At this point, Metchie simply remains a hold.

Texans wide receiver John Metchie had six catches for 68 yards and a touchdown in Houston's preseason win against the Giants.
The preseason reports on Metchie have been all positive and this just solidifies those. Unfortunately, he's buried on a depth chart behind Nico Collins, Stefon Diggs, and Tank Dell at the moment. However, Diggs is on what amounts to a one-year deal and Metchie could be waiting in the wings for a bigger role in the future. He's a player to certainly keep your eye on in dynasty leagues and a possible back-of-the-roster stash at the moment.

Texans receiver John Metchie has been reportedly impressing coaches this off-season.
The former Alabama star who famously battled leukemia years ago but has seemingly made it back to close to full strength. We'll need to see more to recommend Metchie on a roster, especially with how loaded the Texans are at the position. However, all signs are pointing to a possible breakout.
