The devy experts look at the top options for future dynasty stars.
The annual Devy 100 is an exercise in identifying the best dynasty fantasy prospects within the college game. Given the sheer breadth of the project, it will fall short of a one hundred percent hit rate (independent outside sources have tabbed it at around 98.4 percent) yet can still be a valuable resource when embarking on a devy draft or identifying players to move or target via trade. Of course, you can always reference the full devy rankings at DLF as well.
The introduction of NIL into the college football space has made the devy ranks deeper than ever, with players often opting to stay an additional season to improve their draft stock and collect some cash while they do it. It led to some tough cuts, though NIL in conjunction with the portal has also helped raise the profile of some prospects who may have struggled to reach the national consciousness previously.
A recap of last year’s Devy 100 with links to each article can be found here. Below are the next five in the group.
Profile: Not much was expected from Quintrevion Wisner in 2024. CJ Baxter returned as the lead man and Jaydon Blue – now with the Dallas Cowboys – was slated as a heavily involved backup. After Baxter was lost to a knee injury in summer camp and Blue struggled to hold on to the football, Wisner was thrust into a big role. He rewarded the Longhorns with 1,375 total yards and six scores.
Texas leaned on Wisner last season, often just putting the football in his hands and letting him wear down a defense with his toughness. He is no mere grinder though; Wisner is a master of manipulating defenders in space and evading tacklers, showcasing tremendous instincts. He was an effective receiver for the Horns, offering a great checkdown option who ran some big boy routes. Wisner may benefit from a lesser workload, as adapting to heavy workloads may have curtailed some of his other skills. Wisner has established himself as a legitimate pro prospect after entering 2024 as an unheralded player.
2025 Outlook: Wisner is unlikely to hit his 2024 touch totals with Baxter returning and Jerrick Gibson having another year in the system. It is no big concern; he has earned his touches and taking another step forward will be a huge development if he is to test the waters in the 2026 NFL Draft.
