Th annual Devy 100 has concluded. The series identifies college football’s best players, looking to determine who fantasy football’s next stars will be. I can assure the order is completely infallible and does not require any dissent.
To gather names for the list, I traditionally compile all four positions on a spreadsheet and determine who is worthy of making the cut. While advanced analytics are brought into the process, the big challenge is determining who has the traits to not just play at the NFL level but make an impact. Last year’s top ten featured some big hits with Caleb Williams, Marvin Harrison Jr., Drake Maye, Brock Bowers, and Malik Nabers. It also showcased a complete dud in Raheim Sanders, illustrating how quickly a stock can go south. Last year’s group was much more star-studded, and top-heavy with stars. This year’s top group is much more balanced with more room for movement. It will be a fun fall watching these players establish their draft stock.
