Let’s look at the various injuries heading into Week 12 and any concerns moving forward for your fantasy championships.
Injury: Right shoulder AC joint
Timeline to Return: Week 12-13
McConkey suffered a right AC joint sprain as a result of getting tackled out of bounds late in the first quarter on Sunday. After a brief evaluation, he did return to play, finishing with 6 receptions for 123 yards. Between a pain-numbing injection and adrenaline, that likely assisted him in finishing the game but he is one to watch this week on the injury report.
I expect him to potentially not practice on Thursday or if he does, he should be limited most of the week to allow the shoulder to heal. He realistically could play in Week 12 but considering his injury history, it may be best that he sits. If he plays, I expect his stats to drop due to his inability to highpoint the ball and absorb contact. If McConkey trends downward, Jalen Reagor and DJ Chark could be last-minute options on Monday if he is inactive.
