Welcome! In this series, I try and be short, sharp, and to the point while offering some underrated trends in volume and regression.
So, let’s get to it, shall we? Here’s my walk through the deeper nooks and crannies of dynasty data and my main observations in NFL usage.
You can find my tables for each team in my free weekly database here.
With the loss of James Conner to IR the backfield was split between Keaontay Ingram (33% of rushing attempts and 5% of targets), and Damien Williams (26% of rushing attempts.) Emari Demercado managed 6% of attempts and 2.6% of targets. Notably, Ingram also took both red zone carries (Rondale Moore also had one inside the 20).
Despite Ingram being the desperation fill-in of choice, he was remarkably inefficient on his touches last week (-1.4 EPA/Opp).
Trey McBride managed his second-highest route share (10%) but had an inefficient week in that role with -0.4 EPA/Opp, unusual for him, but it’s hard to be as efficient when you have more chances to mess it up.
On that note, Zach Ertz still managed the same target share (13%.) The upside is with the more efficient and younger player.
