Week 15 brings with it the traditional start to the fantasy football playoffs. It also, finally, brings an end to the fantasy football bye weeks. If your team is still in the running, it’s time to focus your IDP plays on winning each week individually. Do not concern yourself with scooping up prospective players for next year, win the week, and move on to play another one!
With that being said, I’ll be considering the upcoming week’s matchups more in my IDP waiver wire suggestions over the next several weeks. I’ll highlight some matchups to target, while still analyzing the results of the previous week and targeting players with increased roles.
As a reminder, these waiver wire suggestions are based on dynasty leagues that start seven defensive players, two at each position group and a flex. Some players profiled will be for deeper leagues, and others for more shallow leagues, but with no standard format for IDP leagues, we need to cast a wide net. I’ll be using roster percentage data from Sleeper.

While Nick Bosa has been out, Gross-Matos has been a primary pass-rusher for the 49ers. This week, he hit the jackpot, getting three sacks on the Chicago Bears offensive line. If Bosa is out again next week, Gross-Matos has to be a consideration. The Niners play the Rams next week, and they’re middle of the pack in sacks allowed. But, the Rams have done a great job protecting Matthew Stafford lately, going back-to-back weeks with zero sacks allowed.
