Devin Singletary signs with the Giants · Mar 12, 2024
The Giants have signed running back Devin Singletary.
Singletary gets $16.5 million over three years to replace Saquon Barkley in the Big Apple. It's a monster deal for a player who has largely underwhelmed in his time in the league. While he's had between 800 and 900 rushing yards in each of the past three seasons, he's never really put together any long stretch of dominance and looked ordinary for much of his time. Still, it's a decent situation and while he'll likely be paired with another running back or two, he should retain some good value. His ranking of RB44 seems about right at the moment.

Tennessee running back Jaylen Wright had a solid performance at this year's NFL Draft Combine.
Wright posted an 11-2 in the broad jump and 38 inches in the vertical leap before posted a blistering 4.38 in the 40-yard dash. After leading the Nation in yards per carry, Wright proved his tape was no fluke as his athleticism was on full display over the weekend. While there's a lot of questions in regards to his size, Wright seems like a true home run hitter. His landing spot is going to be very interesting to watch and also likely a round or two higher after his combine display.

Devin Singletary had 121 rushing yards, four catches and 49 receiving yards in the Texans win over the Titans.
Even better for Singletary managers was the fact he had 30 of the 32 running back touches. At this point, Dameon Pierce has become a total afterthought and Singletary has become the engine of the offense. Both of these running backs will be difficult to value into the off-season as the Texans could look to the draft for a new workhorse. Regardless, Singletary is looking like a must-start for playoff bound dynasty teams the rest of the way.

Texans running back Devin Singletary had 112 rushing yards and a touchdown in the Texans win against Arizona.
That's back-to-back solid efforts for Singletary, who has used the Dameon Pierce injury to solidify himself as Houston's best running back, Even better, that's 52 carries the past two weeks, showing he can shoulder the load if needed. He'll likely move back to a committee back when things are said and done when Pierce returns but it would be a surprise to see him be the "1B" instead of the "1A" at this point.

PJ Walker could be under-center as the Browns quarterback following news Deshaun Watson will miss the remainder of the season due to a broken bone in his throwing shoulder
To say Walker is a shoe-in to start would be a mistake as the veteran has a 1:5 touchdown-to-interception ratio and a 49% completion percentage over his four games. That said, the team did win three of the four. It's not out of the realm of possibility the team, instead, turns to Dorian Thompson-Robinson who showed promise in the preseason but overmatched in his only start. PJ Walker remains unranked on DLF's quarterback rankings and will likely remain so regardless of his starting situation.
