Michael Bennett News

  • Evan Hull impresses · Mar 6, 2023

Northwestern running back Evan Hull impressed during his drills in the NFL Combine

Hull left it all on the field and showed commitment and tenacity by taking every rep to the end zone. He produced an impressive 4.47 40-yard-dash, a 37" vertical, 10'3" broad jump and a 2-cone time of 6.9 seconds. Hull isn't going to impress with agility and long speed but his blue-collar and workmanlike attitude is sure to have value at the next level. To wit, he's also one of the few backs who performed all the drills. He's found as DLF's RB20 and the R48 overall

  • Chase Brown impresses at Combine · Mar 6, 2023

Chase Brown performed well in all on-field drills at the NFL Combine, highlighted by a 4.43 40-yard dash

Brown is one of the big winners from this week's Combine after a stellar performance. His 40-time impressed, but he also produced a 40" vertical and a 10'7" broad jump. Brown loses some points in areas of agility, contact balance, and, to a lesser degree, patience but he made himself money this weekend and could be a sneaky second-round rookie selection in dynasty. Drafted situation will be key as it is with most running backs but he couldn't have done much more to help his draft-day stock. He's listed as DLF's RB12 and the R27 overall, both rankings which figure to rise in the wake of the Combine.

  • Clayton Tune impresses · Mar 5, 2023

In a "Combine buzz" piece on ESPN, some scouts were impressed with Houston quarterback Clayton Tune.

Tune filled the stat sheet with five years at Houston, as most quarterbacks do in their system. He also possesses passable physical metrics standing 6'2 1/2" at 220 lbs. and he ran an impressive 4.64 40. Unranked on DLF's superflex quarterback rankings, he'll likely be a third-day pick during the NFL Draft and only a prospect for addition in the deepest of dynasty league formats.

  • Jake Haener impresses · Mar 5, 2023

In a "Combine buzz" piece on ESPN, some scouts were impressed with Fresno State rookie quarterback Jake Haener.

Haener was trapped behind the arms and lights of C.J. Stroud, Will Levis and Anthony Richardson but quietly had a very good Combine. Undersized at 6'1/200 lbs., he displayed a live arm and impressed in interviews. He'll be on the day-two, day-three watch during the NFL Draft. He's listed as DLF's superflex QB7.

  • Luke Musgrave runs 4.61 · Mar 5, 2023

Luke Musgrave ran an official 4.61 40 at the NFL Combine

Musgrave has been rocketing higher on a combination of his size (6'6/253 lbs.) and 10 3/8" hands before turning in a notable 4.61 in the 40-yard-dash. The only warning flags waving are injury history and extremely limited production over his four years at Oregon State. Multiple injuries kept his production to a 47/633/2 line across his entire collegiate year. Even with the limited production, Musgrave is a borderline first-round selection. He's listed as DLF's TE4 and the R32 overall.

  • Michael Wilson runs 4.59 · Mar 4, 2023

Stanford rookie receiver Michael Wilson ran a 4.59 40-time.

Wilson has been on the rise since the Senior Bowl and never put up big numbers as a Cardinal. But as one of the receivers possessing good size (6'2/213 lbs.), the 4.59 time is enough to keep him on the NFL and dynasty radar. Wilson doesn't project as a high-upside talent but in a good offense with a top quarterback, there's upside potential. He's listed as a sparsely ranked WR24 on DLF's rookie receiver rankings.

  • Cedric Tillman runs 4.55 · Mar 4, 2023

    Cedric Tillman runs 4.55

It's a holding-value time as Tillman continues to gain momentum in this receiver class lacking size. At 6' 3 3/8" and 213 lbs., Tillman has a chance to climb draft boards, perhaps as high as an early-second-round dynasty rookie selection with a good performance. After a productive junior season, turning in a 64/1,081/12 line, injuries shortened what could have been a significant season. Now fully healthy, Tillman could be on the rise from his WR9, R20-overall rookie status.

  • Hendon Hooker progressing · Mar 4, 2023

Hendon Hooker is progressing well following his November ACL tear and is on track to be ready for the season opener.

Word is that the Hooker has received positive medical reports in Indy during the Combine and while the older (25) rookie won't be competing in drills this weekend, he's received high marks for interviews, maturity, leadership and character. He profiles as a late-round dynasty rookie selection who could be under-center on Sundays. Without setbacks, Hooker, DLF's rookie QB5, remains a value-on round-three projection in superflex rookie drafts.

  • Will Levis throws well · Mar 4, 2023

Will Levis is throwing well at the NFL Combine

Levis is putting on a throwing clinic during the Combine. A rocked-up Levis has a "hose" and is driving balls on a rope to receivers at all levels, including in-breaking and out-breaking routes. There's a very discernable difference between Levis' arm and most others and NFL personnel are going to be intrigued by his prototypical size and arm strength. Levis has fallen to DLF's rookie QB4.

  • Xavier Hutchinson 40-time · Mar 4, 2023

Xavier Hutchinson ran an unofficial 4.53 40-time

Hutchinson also measured-in just below 6'2" and at 203 lbs. Rising on dynasty rankings of late, Hutchinson possesses great size in a receiver field lacking just that. On size alone, he could maintain his momentum into sleeper status depending on drafted situation. He's listed as DLF's rookie WR11 and the R35 overall, showing that he is, as of yet, not highly valued.
