  • Hayden Hurst released by Carolina · Mar 5, 2024

The Carolina Panthers have released tight end Hayden Hurst.

Hurst makes it through just one year of his "three year contract" in Carolina by posting a mediocre 18/184/1 line in nine games for the Panthers last season. A habitual sleeper candidate nearly every off-season, Hurst just hasn't been able to put it all together in stints with Atlanta, Cincinnati, Baltimore and Carolina. He'll hit the open market and look for new team while dynasty owners look elsewhere for tight end help of their own.

  • Caleb Williams won't throw at the Combine · Feb 26, 2024

USC quarterback Caleb Williams reportedly will not take part in the passing drills at this week's NFL Scouting Combine.

Over the past few years, it's become more and more of a rarity to see the top couple of quarterbacks participate in much at the Combine. It's an unfortunate reality for those who are really wanting to evaluate them but there should be enough on tape to show Williams can spin the ball as well as anyone. This shouldn't affect his status as the top quarterback but it's clear Williams thought there was more to lose here than gain.

  • Caleb Williams 1.01 in Kiper Mock · Jan 30, 2024

USC quarterback Caleb Williams is taken first overall by the Bears in the initial mock draft by Mel Kiper, Jr.

This is no real surprise as most expect the Bears to move on from Justin Fields this off-season and focus on building around Williams. There could be a curveball thrown here as many teams will likely covet the former Oklahoma and USC star but this is the most likely outcome. Williams will be a top target at the 1.01 in Superflex rookie drafts and a first rounder in conventional formats this Spring.

  • Caleb Williams declares for the NFL Draft · Jan 15, 2024

USC quarterback Caleb Williams has declared for the 2024 NFL Draft.

No surprise here as the former Oklahoma and USC star is widely regarded to be the top selection in the NFL Draft. There are questions about which team could select him as the Bears could opt to move out of the top spot for the second year in a row. However, the tea leaves are currently suggesting Chicago is going to keep the pick and start building around Williams. After 93 touchdowns and just 14 interceptions over his three seasons, it's hard not to believe in his ability. There will be much said about Williams and his game over the next few months but he seems to be a lock as the 1.01 in Superflex drafts and a likely late first rounder in conventional formats.

  • TreVeyon Henderson to return · Jan 13, 2024

Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson will return to Ohio State for his Senior season.

Wow. Nearly all of the dynasty community figured it was a foregone conclusion that Henderson would jump to the NFL. Instead, he's going to run it back with the Buckeyes and attempt to win a National Title in the newly reconfigured landscape of college football. Henderson would have been a first round rookie pick in dynasty leagues and his absence is going to make the wide receiver class look even that much stronger. He'll look to be one of the top prospects in next year's class.

  • Caleb Williams mocked to Chicago · Jan 12, 2024

In the latest ESPN Mock Draft, Caleb Williams was selected by the Bears first overall.

The Bears have a decision to make with Justin Fields again this year and all signs point towards them parting ways and selecting a quarterback. The former USC and Oklahoma star threw for 3,633 yards and 30 scores this year and continued to show some truly elite traits. The Bears have clearly liked Fields elusiveness and ability to improvise and Williams projects as a player who can do the same, if not better. Williams looks like the 1.01 in Superflex leagues this year and while Chicago hasn't been the best for quarterback fantasy numbers, Fields has shown it's at least possible in short bursts.

  • Caleb Williams the top quarterback · Dec 6, 2023

USC would-be rookie quarterback Caleb Williams remains Mel Kiper's top quarterback of the 2024 draft class.

It's no surprise that Williams gets the edge over Drake Maye. What is a minor surprise is that Kiper says there are only two first-round talents, with other names such as Jayden Daniels, Shedeur Sanders, Bo Nix and J.J. McCarthy all day-two talents. While that may be true, the need at the quarterback position is as great as we've ever seen and it will be a surprise if we don't see at least four or five names off the board by the end of day one. As for Caleb Williams, he has yet to declare for the NFL Draft and the existence of NIL money makes his decision far from certain. In Williams' own words, it's a "game-time" decision.
