Kyle Monangai might not be a household name, but he was one of the most productive running backs in college football over the last two seasons and is the main reason for Rutgers enjoying their first back-to-back winning seasons since 2011-2012. Will that success carry over into the NFL, or will he be relegated to a backup role?
Monangai went to Don Bosco Prep in New Jersey where he rushed for 900 yards and 11 touchdowns to go along with 400 receiving yards and five touchdowns. He was only a three-star recruit when leaving high school and decided to stay home by attending Rutgers just down the road.

Monangai struggled to find the field early in his career behind Isiah Pacheco, but he finally earned the full-time job in year four. Over the next two seasons, Monangai handled an insane workload with 498 rush attempts to go along with 22 receptions. He ran for 2,541 yards and 21 touchdowns in his final two years as the main focal point of the Rutgers offense.
