The Chargers have agreed to terms with running back Gus Edwards.
The Gus Bus will now head to Southern California and from one Harbaugh to another. Edwards will certainly be paired with more talent at the position but should be a solid short yardage and change of pace back at the very least. While not really made to be a long-term starter, Edwards should provide stability and be a decent source of yards. While his 13 touchdowns from last season can't be relied on, Edwards has always found a way to provide fantasy value. He comes in as our RB52 and that should move up a touch with this signing.

The Ravens were seemingly set last year with JK Dobbins, Keaton Mitchell and Gus Edwards holding down the fort. Unfortunately, both Dobbins and Mitchell suffered injuries and Edwards again came to the rescue. However, it seems Baltimore is ready to move on and they've been linked to big-name running backs like Derrick Henry and Saquon Barkley. While nothing is imminent, the tea leaves are pointing towards Baltimore looking to make a splash. Edwards' dynasty value will be entirely dependent on where he may end up in free agency but it's highly unlikely he'll be used as a starter at his age.

Ravens running back Gus Edwards rushed for 80 yards and three touchdowns in the Ravens win over Arizona.
That's more like it. Edwards isn't much of a receiver (he caught two for 14 yards in the game) but he certainly has a nose for the end zone. It certainly looks like Edwards has again taken control of the backfield in Baltimore and looks like a pretty solid trade target for contending teams moving forward. While this game could be his best of the year, Edwards looks like a player who is going to get 20 or so touches a week.
