The Giants were lackluster across all four quarters and it was Toney who was the only bright spot for the team though he only produced 40 yards on the night. It was obvious the team prioritized getting the ball into Toney's hands near the line of scrimmage to allow his dynamic to create yards after the catch but as his long reception went for eight yards, he was largely a non-factor. Quarterback Daniel Jones was erratic again and the G-men didn't have a play longer than 28 yards in the loss suggesting change is on the wind. In any case, Toney, DLF's WR35, looks to be the playmaker the Giants believe he was when the team selected him in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Best used in PPR formats, Toney appears to have a long runway to greater production going forward.
