The CBS Sports article highlighted a player from each NF team and it stands to reason their choice for the Vikings, Irv Smith, is a logical selection. Smith has been mired on the depth chart featuring Kyle Rudolph since entering as a rookie and now sits alone atop it following Rudolph's departure. Smith, still only 22, has only produced 66 receptions, 676 yards and seven touchdowns over his first two seasons but is a fair bet to meet or exceed these numbers in 2021 alone. With an offense featuring star performers in Dalvin Cook, Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson, quality targets should abound for Smith though the question about feeding so many mouths and how it will impact the tight end position is a valid one. In any case, DLF's TE10 has been on the rise on the expected production increase.
