You wouldn't expect a rookie tight end with just 15 catches for 171 yards and one touchdown to be the cream of the crop, but this was no ordinary year. First, the rookie tight end class was one of the weakest in the last several years. Second, Trautman proved to be an exceptionally good blocker and that helped his cause. Our TE26, Trautman could have some sneaky value heading into next year as the Saints could look to move on from Jared Cook, especially after his stone hands help cost them their season in a playoff loss to Tampa Bay. The Saints traded a lot of draft capital to move up and grab Trautman last year and his development will be interesting to watch in dynasty formats.
