Reports are that Mixon is only seeking $8M annually which, if true, is both refreshing and noteworthy. Should this be the case, the Bengals are going to lock him up quickly and Mixon could draw the ire of other running backs as, while he's not trying to reset the bar higher, a more modest contract could reset the bar lower. In any case, Mixon is as clear an RB1 as there is in dynasty though his first three seasons have been mixed with uninspiring touchdown production while mired behind poor offensive play and a worse offensive line. That said, the 24 year old is entering the prime of his career and Bengals fans have reason to be excited about the future as the team continues to address needs. Joe Mixon is DLF's RB8 and could be in a position to well outplay his ranking.
