The fast rising rookie has had wind in his sails with the hope he would replace Ronald Jones as the starter. Instead, ESPN projects Dare Ogunbowale as the third-down back with Vaughn coming off the bench. It stands to reason as the COVID crisis has limited on-field development for the entire rookie class and Vaughn will need to make up ground once camp opens. With Tom Brady under-center, the entire offense should remain productive and Ronald Jones will receive the first crack to be the productive starter. Vaughn, DLF's RB28, still possesses good upside, perhaps even in 2020, but the experience of Jones and Ogunbowale will be tough to overcome as a rookie.
