Thus far both Carlos Hyde and Devonta Freeman have been named as backs the Seahawks have had discussions with as they search for insurance for Chris Carson. Both would provide noteworthy competition with Freeman carrying greater versatility but neither would factor greatly over Carson, who put together a noteworthy 2019 finishing with 278/1,230/7 stat line. He also produced 37/266/2 as a receiver. Carson has never been doubted related to production when on the field but significant flags continue to wave over his health. In three years, he's yet to produce a 16-game season though did appear in 15 games in 2019. A workmanlike and under-appreciated back, DLF's RB25 could well outplay his current ranking should he remain healthy in 2020.
