Breida was tendered at the second-round level as a restricted free agent but that won't stop the team from trading him if they receive any sort of agreeable compensation in return. The oft-injured back has had periods of success but was eventually supplanted by a combination of Tevin Coleman and, more noteworthy, Raheem Mostert. With news that Jerick McKinnon could stick on the roster, Matt Breida just won't have a role going forward and should be available via trade. A career 5.0 ypc. average and still only 25 years of age should be enough to garner some interest on the open market. He's currently found as DLF's RB46 and remains in a holding pattern until more is learned about his situation.
