It would be a costly move for the Colts though they have plenty of cap space if desidred. While GM Chris Ballard said "the jury's still out" on Brissett as a starter, it's hard to imagine he won't be under center when the 2020 season kicks off. That said, some big names at quarterback will/could be on the market giving the Colts options. Brissett is a locker room player and well liked by the team and management so the article appears to be far more a guess than anything specifically heard. Either way, the Colts must get better at the receiver position after losing free agent acquisition Devin Funchess (collar bone) in week one, T.Y. Hilton fighting injury all season and getting very little from rookie Parris Campbell. Expect the Colts to address receiver early in the NFL Rookie Draft and/or during free agency. Jacoby Brissett is DLF's QB25.
