Soon-to-be 28 years old and coming off yet another disappointing campaign, the Falcons are trying to determine what role Freeman has with the club for 2020. Reports are that Atlanta was shopping him prior to the deadline in 2019. Signed through 2022, the Falcons do have an out in 2020 which would leave $6M in dead cap space but would also allow the club to seek younger and cheaper options as the rebuild begins. Freeman hasn't eclipsed 1,000 yards since 2016 and has scored only two rushing touchdowns over the past two seasons. His release would provide upside opportunity for Ito Smith, Brian Hill and Qadree Ollison. Devonta Freeman is found as DLF's RB36.
