Washington has until March 18th to decide Peterson's fate with the team but all signs point to him returning due to Derrius Guice's recurring injury issues. Guice has amassed more knee injuries, three, than touchdowns over his past two years and while he's on track for return in 2020, he hasn't yet shown ability to carry the load. Rushing for 1,042 yards and seven touchdowns in 2018, Peterson followed that up with 898 yards and five touchdowns on 211 carries in 2019, good for a 4.3 ypc. average and showing little signs of his soon-to-be 35 year old legs. While Peterson continues to fall in dynasty rankings, currently ranked as DLF's RB71, he will maintain RB4 status with upside should the Redskins bring him back for one more season, well above his current dynasty ranking.
