It's a mild sprain but the Bengals elected to place him on I.R. rather than rush him back into a lost season. The 2018 seventh round selection was enjoying a nice season filling in for injured A.J. Green and had complied 40 receptions, 575 yards and one touchdown over his 12 games. While not fleet of foot, Tate has displayed an enormous catch radius, effectively using his 6'5" frame to shield defenders at the point of reception. The possession receiver will be in the running for a starting role in 2020 depending on the outcome of A.J. Green's status. Damion Willis will primarily fill Tate's role for the remainder of the season. Auden Tate is listed as DLF's WR70.
