The 2019 sixth round rookie saw his greatest workload in week 13, rushing 11 times for 44 yards and a touchdown in a win vs. the Raiders. With LeSean McCoy aging quickly, Damien Williams having difficult staying healthy and Darrel Williams now on I.R., Thompson has a chance to see increased work down the stretch. The undersized rookie out of Utah State runs tougher than his 5'8/200 size would suggest and though he has yet to display the talent, he possesses the ability to receive out of the backfield as well. Thompson can't be counted on through the balance of 2019 but the Chiefs' depth chart is anything but solidified into the near future and he has every opportunity for a greater role in 2020. Darwin Thompson is DLFs RB47.
