The lights were on and Mayfield was way, way off. It's not hyperbole to suggest his performance thus far is ending fantasy seasons given how bad he's been through five games. Mayfield now has four touchdowns and eight interceptions and has yet to log a multiple touchdown game in 2019. Already labeled as brash, cocky and arrogant, he raised eyebrows earlier in the off-season when he failed to support teammate Duke Johnson when Johnson was unhappy with his contract and role on the team, going as far to tell the press the situation was "self-inflicted". That reportedly didn't sit well with teammates coming from a second-year player who had yet to prove himself on an NFL field. The first overall selection in 2018, Mayfield had an opportunity to quiet all doubters with a strong season but, thus far, seemingly has wilted under the bright lights and pressure. With tilts vs. the Seahawks, Patriots, Broncos and Bills on tap in successive weeks, and little sign of offensive chemistry present for the Browns, things could get very hot for Baker Mayfield by mid-season. He's currently found as DLF's QB7.
