Nick Chubb to stay

Nick Chubb RB CLE
By: Apr 11: 9:24 AM EST

The Browns and Nick Chubb have agreed to a re-worked contract.

Dynasty Analysis

The contract lowers Chubb's base salary and adds a lot of incentives, ensuring he'll stay in Cleveland for the upcoming season. Chubb is recovering from two different knee surgeries and while the Browns expect him back this season, it's anyone's guess as to when that will actually happen. Now 28, there are legitimate questions about his long-term future but he could also be a pretty solid buy low candidate in dynasty leagues as his ADP has tanked in recent months.

Rashee Rice to be charged

Rashee Rice WR KC
By: Apr 11: 9:08 AM EST

A warrant has been issued for Rashee Rice in Dallas.

Dynasty Analysis

Rice is going up against eight charges, including aggravated assault stemming from the auto racing incident last week. This is clearly no surprise, especially after video was released showing the incident. Rice is fortunate nobody was severely injured (or worse) but could still face a suspension moving forward once the story unfolds. There really isn't any change to his dynasty value at this point, other than the fact nobody is going to want to trade for him at the moment. As such, Rice is simply a "hold" until this matter shakes out.

Will Levis on the rise?

Will Levis QB TEN
By: Apr 9: 12:01 PM EST

Titans quarterback Will Levis could be positioned for more success this season.

Dynasty Analysis

This story is kind of from the land of the obvious but Levis really should be in a better spot going into next season. With Calvin Ridley and DeAndre Hopkins at receiver and Tony Pollard being signed to replace Derrick Henry, the Titans didn't exactly punt on helping him over the last month. Levis was electric in his first game action but turned into a glorified game manager the rest of the way. He's on the hot seat this year in Tennessee, though it would be a surprise to see them take a successor in the draft this year. Levis remains a hold in dynasty leagues.

Anthony Richardson progressing

Anthony Richardson QB IND
By: Apr 9: 11:50 AM EST

Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson is starting to throw.

Dynasty Analysis

Richardson is recovering from surgery to repair his AC Joint and is apparently throwing 40 or so passes a day. It's a big step for a quarterback who is now clearly under the microscope after a season that showed amazing flashes of brilliance but also one marred by repeated injuries. Richardson is one of the biggest boom or bust players in dynasty leagues at the moment and needs to show some rapid improvement on the accuracy and health front to maintain his lofty ranking.

Stefon Diggs in a contract year

Stefon Diggs WR HOU
By: Apr 4: 5:11 PM EST

The Texans have voided the final three years in Stefon Diggs' contract.

Dynasty Analysis

In a very unusual procedural move, the Texans wiped out the final three years of his contract and moved more guaranteed money to this season, meaning Diggs will make more than $22 million in what amounts to being a one-year rental for Houston. It's a gamble for the Texans but one that should also motivate Diggs, who is now going to get paid handsomely for one season in Houston as he attempts to prove he's worthy of one more long-term contract in Houston or elsewhere. This doesn't change much, other than the narrative that Nico Collins or Tank Dell are somehow hurt long-term by this trade.

Laviska Shenault signs with Seattle

Laviska Shenault WR SEA
By: Apr 3: 10:18 AM EST

The Seahawks have signed wide receiver Laviska Shenault.

Dynasty Analysis

Amazingly, Shenault's career has turned into that resembling nothing more than a kick returner at this point. It looks like he'll serve in that capacity for the Seahawks after failing to develop as a wide receiver in Jacksonville or Carolina. More name than game at this point, Shenault should be on dynasty waiver wires moving forward unless Seattle gets buried with injuries.

Stefon Diggs traded to Houston

Stefon Diggs WR HOU
By: Apr 3: 10:14 AM EST

The Bills are trading wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans.

Dynasty Analysis

Buffalo is reportedly receiving a second round pick (via Minnesota) in exchange for Diggs, a 6th round pick this season and a 5th round pick next year. It's a monster trade that shakes up the AFC in a big way. Diggs had clearly grown unhappy with the direction Buffalo was headed and was essentially phased out of the offense for large stretches last season. He'll now team up with CJ Stroud on a team poised to boast one of the NFL's most explosive offenses. Diggs could be overvalued a touch with this move but still looks like a decent buy for contending dynasty teams.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire re-signs with the Chiefs

Clyde Edwards-Helaire RB KC
By: Apr 2: 4:51 PM EST

The Chiefs are re-signing 2020 first round pick, RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire.

Dynasty Analysis

Edwards-Helaire has never lived up to the expectations that the Chiefs or dynasty managers had for him, but he has turned into a dependable backup running back. Isiah Pacheco is the clear starter for now in KC, and this re-signing of Edwards-Helaire is potentially good news for him just a few weeks out from the NFL Draft. CEH is currently the RB64 in our dynasty rankings, so this is more impactful to Pacheco, who is currently RB17.

Rashee Rice wanted by police

Rashee Rice WR KC
By: Mar 31: 11:54 AM EST

Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is wanted by police in connection with a traffic accident.

Dynasty Analysis

The Chiefs will undoubtedly spend Easter Sunday gathering details but this clearly isn't good. Rice was reportedly involved in a street race that resulted in a six-car pileup. Details are still emerging, including a list of possible injuries. What is known is that a car either owned or leased by Rice was involved and he's wanted by police for questioning. Stay tuned.

Malik Nabers the WR1?

Malik Nabers WR
By: Mar 29: 10:35 PM EST

After an impressive Pro Day, some scouts believe Malik Nabers is the top receiver in this year's class.

Dynasty Analysis

Nabers' athleticism was on full display at the LSU Pro Day as he posted a 4.35 40-yard dash to go along with a 42-inch vertical leap. He was also more than impressive in each of the drills he participated in. It seems Nabers may be bridging the gap between his stock and that of Marvin Harrison Jr.'s, who chose not to work out publicly at all this off-season. While it's still hard to see Nabers really being taken ahead of Harrison, it clearly shows he's truly an elite-level prospect.
