The Broncos are not expected to re-sign running back Javonte Williams.
Dynasty Analysis
Williams just hasn't been able to recover from his injuries over the past couple of seasons and look like he once did as a promising young prospect. Williams looks like a player who has lost a lot of his explosiveness and Denver really didn't even use him that much this year, leaning on more of a committee than anything else. Now a free agent, Williams will likely look to get a fresh start elsewhere. His dynasty value continues to sink.

Broncos running back Javonte Williams had one rushing yard, two catches and six receiving yards in a loss to Kansas City.

Meanwhile, Audric Estime had 14 carries in the game. It's hard to say if this is going to be a permanent move to the rookie, but Williams saw just 16 snaps in a game that was close all the way through. Sean Payton is notoriously hard to read, but Williams should be on fantasy benches moving forward until it shakes out. His dynasty value is starting to tank and today may speed that up.
Broncos running back Javonte Williams had 23 rushing yards, three catches and 13 receiving yards while also losing a fumble in a loss against the Chargers.
Dynasty Analysis
After six games, it's fair to make an assessment about Williams and he just simply hasn't been very good. His 23 yards today put him just over 200 on the season and his 3.7 yards per carry isn't inspiring much confidence moving forward. His 17 catches on the year have helped but Williams has yet to score a touchdown on the season. At this point, the idea Williams was going to have a big year have come and gone and he belongs on dynasty benches as his value sinks each week.
Broncos running back Javonte Williams had 12 rushing yards, four catches and 29 receiving yards in a win against Tampa Bay.
Dynasty Analysis
Williams now has just 52 rushing yards through three games. While his receiving prowess is keeping some fantasy appeal alive for him, it seems the resurgence some had expected simply may not happen. Williams remains a hold (and the starter), but he belongs on fantasy benches until we see something positive from him.
Broncos running back Javonte Williams had just 17 yards rushing in a loss to Pittsburgh.
Dynasty Analysis
He added 48 yards on five catches to salvage his day. However, Williams now has just 40 rushing yards on 19 carries (2.1 yards per carry) through two weeks and the talk of his resurgence seems to have been premature. Denver is going to need to do some soul searching this week but it's not going to be surprising to see Jaleel McLaughlin or Blake Watson start to be more involved in the offense. Williams is going to be tough to start moving forward until we something positive from him in the box score.
Broncos running back Javonte Williams had 23 rushing yards on eight carries, while catching one pass for no gain in Denver's opening day loss at Seattle.
Dynasty Analysis
Yuck. Williams was out-carried by Jaleel McLaughlin 10-8, though neither of them looked particularly effective on the day. It's way too early to throw in the towel on Williams but this is a red flag after his disastrous 2023 season. Williams belongs on fantasy benches until Bo Nix can do enough to keep defenses honest as this Denver offense looks anemic at the moment.
