Ravens wide receiver Diontae Johnson has been suspended one game for conduct detrimental to the team.

Dynasty Analysis

Ouch. It seems Johnson was asked to enter this week's game and politely declined. Clearly unhappy with his role after being traded from Carolina, Johnson is seemingly waving the white flag on his season and moving forward. He has just one catch on five targets in four games played after being acquired by Baltimore as this mid-season acquistiion has clearly gone haywire. At this point, Johnson is likely to serve his suspension, then the rest of the year on the Baltimore bench. His dynasty value is crumbling, but at least he'll be a free agent this off-season and the chances of him re-signing with the Ravens are near zero.

The Texans have cut wide receiver Diontae Johnson.

Dynasty Analysis

He was going to be a free agent at the end of the season anyway, but it's telling that the receiver-needy Texans are cutting bait with him while they're still in the playoffs. After playing in Carolina, Baltimore and Houston this season, Johnson looks like a player who needs a major image overhaul. He'll likely sign somewhere this off-season, but his dynasty value is falling off a cliff.

The Texans have claimed former Ravens wide receiver Diontae Johnson.

Dynasty Analysis

With Tank Dell and Stefon Diggs both out for the season with serious knee injuries, the Texans needed to do something to shore up their receiving corps and are taking a shot on Johnson. It's a decent gamble for the team, but Johnson was a total bust with Baltimore and even refused to enter a game at one point, leading to the team cutting him this week. There's no doubting Johnson's talent, however, so hopefully this works out. Johnson is far from lineup consideration, but any sign of life will help stop the freefall of his dynasty value.

The Ravens have traded for Carolina wide receiver Diontae Johnson.

Dynasty Analysis

The Ravens acquired Johnson and a 2025 sixth-round pick from the Panthers for a 2024 fifth-round selection. He's posted a 30/357/3 line thus far this season in Carolina and with the Panthers in turmoil, this comes as no surprise. While his stats may not set the world on fire, his first few games were downright dreadful and he's really come on strong over the past few weeks. Johnson will likely find the grass a little greener with the Ravens and should have a nice rebound over the second half of the year. He'll also be motivated to have a solid end to the year as he's set to become a free agent at the end of the year. Ultimately, this trade should stop any temporary slide to his dynasty value.

Panthers receiver Diontae Johnson had three catches for 23 yards, adding six rushing yards in a loss against Chicago.

Dynasty Analysis

This was a major buzzkill after Johnson had posted two monster games with Andy Dalton at the helm. Chicago took control of the game rather early and made life miserable for Dalton and the offense most of the day. Johnson should be much better moving forward, but this could open up a quick window to buy in dynasty leagues if you believe he's truly turning the corner.

Panthers wide receiver Diontae Johnson had seven catches for 83 yards and a touchdown in a loss against the Bengals.

Dynasty Analysis

In two starts with Bryce Young at the helm, Johnson had five catches on 12 targets for 34 scoreless yards. In two starts with Andy Dalton, Johnson now has 15 catches on 27 targets for 205 yards and two touchdowns. It's safe to say we have a pretty significant development in Carolina as Johnson is clearly becoming the receiver many expected him to be when he moved to Carolina in the off-season. At this point, Johnson looks like a solid WR2 option as long as Dalton is at the helm.

Panthers wide receiver Diontae Johnson had eight catches for 122 yards and a touchdown in Carolina's win against the Raiders.

Dynasty Analysis

Andy Dalton ignited the Panthers offense and nobody benefited more than Johnson, who posted a whopping 14 targets on the day. It was a much-needed breakout for Johnson, who was nearly invisible the first two weeks of the season. While we need to see more from Dalton moving forward, Johnson will clearly be in the mix for lineups moving forward.

Panthers receiver Diontae Johnson had just three catches for 15 yards in the Panthers blowout loss to the Chargers.

Dynasty Analysis

Johnson now has just five catches for 34 scoreless yards in his first two games in Carolina. It's hardly his fault as Bryce Young has done virtually nothing so far this season. At this point, Johnson is going to be a "must-sit" until we see something from an offense that looks as bad as any we've seen in years to start this season.
