49ers running back Christian McCaffrey could be lost for the season with a PCL injury.
Dynasty Analysis
Yikes. McCaffrey dealt with an Achilles issue most of the year, only to come back and have this happen. Teams don't typically suggest players are lost for the year unless they really believe testing will come back a certain way, so it looks like this is it for McCaffrey, whose season will likely end with just over 200 rushing yards and no touchdowns rushing or receiving. Yikes. His dynasty value is also going to sink as he was only able to play in four games this season. Father Time may just be undefeated yet.

49ers running back Christian McCaffrey rushed for 39 yards and added six catches for 68 receiving yards in a win against Tampa Bay.
Dynasty Analysis
McCaffrey didn't score in this one, but he looked as good as ever. While dynasty managers may be a little disappointed in the lack of a touchdown, there's a silver lining here and that's the fact he entered and left the game healthy. Expect McCaffrey's workload to increase as the weeks move forward, but he should be an elite-level player the rest of the way. His dynasty value will likely never see top-five value again based on his age, but he's still a weapon like no other.
49ers running back Christian McCaffrey is slated to return as early as week ten.
Dynasty Analysis
Nothing is imminent here as the 49ers have still failed to open the practice window for McCaffrey. Still, things seem to be trending in the right direction. This is a delicate situation for San Francisco as McCaffrey would clearly give the team a much needed boost, but bringing him back too soon could put him at risk of rupturing his Achilles, a potentially career and franchise-altering injury. McCaffrey will return to the RB1 ranks whenever he comes back but his dynasty value is starting to sink a touch.

Dynasty Analysis
CMC will miss at least the next four weeks and will be eligible to return in week six. San Francisco also has a bye in week nine, leading to speculation they could keep him out even longer. This is a huge development in dynasty leagues as McCaffrey is simply the biggest weapon in fantasy football. CMC's short and long-term value is going to take a hit as the 28-year old could be starting to show his age just a touch.
