The Bengals have signed wide receiver Tee Higgins to a contract extension.
Dynasty Analysis
Higgins gets a four-year, $115 million contract and avoids playing on the franchise tag as a result. He is now the highest paid "WR2" in NFL history. It's fair to wonder if the Bengals are actually going to be better by paying Ja'Marr Chase, Higgins and Joe Burrow, but they have little choice. Higgins was solid again last with a 73/911/10 line in just 12 games and while some dynasty managers may be disappointed he's not moving somewhere else to be a true alpha receiver, Burrow is clearly good enough to make two different receivers WR1 worthy, so it may be hollow ask. Higgins remains a solid dynasty asset and his ADP should remain about the same.

The Bengals have used the franchise tag on wide receiver Tee Higgins.
Dynasty Analysis
Cincinnati was stuck on this one as Higgins was set to hit free agency. Instead, he gets the tag for the second year in a row and will make $26.2 million for the 2025 season if he's unable to agree to a long-term contract with the Bengals by the July 15 deadline. The two sides seem open to working out a deal, but Cincinnati also has the challenge of getting Ja'Marr Chase under contract as well. Higgins could still be traded as well, but it seems the Bengals are much more focused on getting him in the fold long-term. This is the first significant domino to fall and will keep Higgins on the WR1/2 line for the time being.

Dynasty Analysis
Congratulations on winning your fantasy title. Higgins saved his best for last as he posted his best fantasy performance of the season during championship week. With 69 catches for 858 yards and ten touchdowns in just 11 games, Higgins is going to be a very interesting player to watch this off-season. The Bengals may not have the means to pay him what he wants and if he hits free agency, he'll have no shortage of suitors. His dynasty value is stable.
