The Chiefs have signed quarterback Gardner Minshew.
Dynasty Analysis
Kansas City will pay Minshew to essentially hold a clipboard and work on his mustache next season because he has a below zero chance to steal anything meaningful from Patrick Mahomes. Still, this is a good signing as Minshew has always proven to be a capable backup and spot-starter when needed. He'll enter free agency next season and could even be a trade target next season if a team loses their starter. However, his dynasty allure has long since evaporated.

The Raiders have released quarterback Gardner Minshew.
Dynasty Analysis
Kudos to the Raiders for trying to make it work with the likes of Minshew and Aidan O'Connell last season, but it predictably fell apart pretty quickly. Minshew threw for just over 2,000 yards with nine touchdowns and ten interceptions in ten games last season, proving yet again his ability to give an offense a spark in a pinch, but not really be a player to build around. At this point, his dynasty value is next to nothing and he belongs on waiver wires.

Dynasty Analysis
Minshew had taken back over for Aidan O'Connell, but the injury he sustained this week will keep him out the rest of the season. The Raiders have been ravaged by injuries and this is the latest. On the positive front, it seems O'Connell will be back shortly to take back over the team from Desmond Ridder. As for Minshew, his dynasty value has evaporated as it looks like he's really no better than a decent backup for a team moving forward.
