2025 Dynasty Rookie Post-Draft Update: Emeka Egbuka

The NFL Draft is behind us, rookie drafts are taking place, and as dynasty managers we are looking ahead to the upcoming season. In our Dynasty Rookie Post-Draft Update series, we break down all the incoming fantasy-relevant rookies, looking at their profiles and where they fit. The basis of the rookie profile involves the usage of STORM analysis, focusing on five key components: Situation, Talent, Opportunity, Risk, and Market
Name: Emeka Egbuka
Position: Wide Receiver
Pro Team: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
College Team: Ohio State
Draft Status: Round one, pick 19
After failing to make much headway in a crowded receiver room full of future first-round picks (Chris Olave, Garrett Wilson, Marvin Harrison Jr, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba) as a freshman, Egbuka burst onto the scene during his sophomore campaign, tallying 74 receptions for 1,151 yards and ten touchdowns. While many envisioned the junior receiver replicating this success and subsequently entering the 2024 draft, his third season (41-515-4) was marred by an ankle injury that lingered all year.
Egbuka returned to Columbus for his senior season to improve his draft stock and win a national championship. Though playing second-fiddle to true freshman phenom Jeremiah Smith, the senior produced 81 catches, 1,011 receiving yards, ten touchdowns, and raised the CFP trophy in mid-January.
Egbuka’s extra collegiate season produced dividends for his draft positioning, going inside the top 20 selections to Tampa Bay. Unfortunately, he once again finds himself starting out at the bottom of the pecking order in his position group.
