2025 NFL Draft: Dynasty Fantasy Football Winners and Losers from the AFC South

With the 2025 NFL Draft now over, we can accurately reassess the depth charts of teams around the NFL. In this series, we’ll be taking a look at players who either gained or lost value based on what their team did this off-season and during the draft.

Next up, the AFC South!

Houston Texans

Draft Class

  • Round Two, Pick 34: Jayden Higgins, WR Iowa State
  • Round Two, Pick 48: Aireontae Ersery, OT Minnesota
  • Round Three, Pick 79: Jaylin Noel, WR Iowa State
  • Round Three, Pick 97: Jaylin Smith, CB USC
  • Round Four, Pick 116: Woody Marks, RB USC
  • Round Six, Pick 187: Jaylen Reed, S Penn State
  • Round Six, Pick 197: Graham Mertz, QB Florida
  • Round Seven, Pick 224: Kyonte Hamilton, DT

Winner: CJ Stroud, QB

The Houston Texans did an organizational reset this off-season to better support Stroud. The offensive line was terrible so they completely overhauled the line. Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell both had season-ending injuries so they retooled the WR room with Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel. They also got rid of Bobby Slowik who was holding Stroud back in the passing game. I’m confident that Stroud will return to his 2023 form this year with all the upgrades on this offense.

Loser: Tank Dell, WR
