2025 Rookie Drafts: Quarterback Tiers Primer

Last year’s NFL Draft was a quarterback bonanza, with six signal-callers taken in the first round, tying the record set in 1983 for the most ever at the position. It was a historic event, marked by an unprecedented run - six of the top 12 picks were quarterbacks - and an equally remarkable drought, as no QBs were selected between Bo Nix at pick 12 and Spencer Rattler at pick 150, the longest gap in draft history.
That class reshaped the dynasty landscape, with quarterbacks dominating rookie drafts and setting a high bar for excitement. This year, however, the QB class tells a different story. While there are still intriguing prospects to be found, the 2025 crop lacks the same depth and top-end talent that made 2024 so extraordinary. Dynasty managers will need to adjust their expectations and strategies, as the position shifts from a feast to, if not a famine, then certainly a less bountiful harvest.
For this exercise, we’ll break up the DLF Rookie Rankings into tiers and analyze when those tiers should be targeted in superflex rookie drafts. To kick things off, here are the current rookie quarterback rankings, and their ADP in early My Fantasy League rookie drafts.

MFL’s Rookie Dynasty ADP at QB.
I don’t actually have any tier-one QBs this season, although there was one who was close to squeaking in.
Dart doesn’t have the perfect college profile, hence the tier-two ranking here, but he did get better each and every season, which is something I look for with quarterbacks. Starting off as more of a gunslinger, Dart really calmed down and came into his own, with his interception percentage (INT%) dropping from 3.0% in his sophomore season to 1.5% in his senior year. Often, when you see such a drastic change, you’ll also notice a drop in Average Depth of Target (ADOT) or a player becoming more of a “game manager,” but Dart was far from that, boasting the highest ADOT of any quarterback in this class. Combine that with his class-leading Big Time Throw Rate (BTTR), and you can easily see why he’s the first quarterback on my draft board.
