2025 NFL Draft: Rookies Who Landed in the Worst Situations for Dynasty Leagues

Tim Riordan

Now that the NFL Draft is in the books, we finally know two of the most important aspects of the rookie evaluation process: landing spot and draft capital. Earlier this week, we took a look at the players who saw their value increase the most with their landing spots and draft capital over the weekend. Now, we’ll analyze the inverse of that. We’ll look at the players who saw their fantasy value decrease because of their landing spots or draft capital.

We’ll go position by position, highlighting the worst landing spots, and naming a few honorable mentions.

Quarterback - Shedeur Sanders, CLE; Round Five, Pick Six

The story of the NFL Draft was Sanders’s fall all the way into the fifth round of the NFL Draft. He was the sixth quarterback off the board, the second one selected by the Browns. Once considered a top-two pick, he had fallen out of the top five in recent weeks, but nobody saw this avalanche coming. He is falling down rookie draft boards as well.
