The Dynasty Aftermath: Dynasty League Winners

Ken Kelly

Welcome to DLF’s Dynasty Aftermath. This staple article is our longest running signature piece as we have a little fun after a tough week at the Dynasty League Football office. You’ll find this article will review the week’s happenings in a variety of ways and help set you up for the coming weeks as we spin around the league in the way we know best. Expect it each and every week. I’ve written this column for the past eighteen years (I cannot believe I just typed that) and I love it . I enjoy combing through the stats of the week on Monday night, putting together ridiculous lineups, picking MVPs/LVPs and discussing things to worry about.

That’s not all. I also really love sharing observations, little bits of entertainment or some stories with the community of DLF and picking a theme for this column each week. You really never know what you’re going to get.

Today is simple. With the playoffs approaching, it’s time to start thinking about who some league winners could be. A simple top five:

1.) Isaac Guerendo
2.) Jerry Jeudy
3.) Brock Bowers
4.) Saquon Barkley
5.) Isaac Guerendo

In my mind, these five very well could be the five players on the most winning fantasy rosters this year. Jeudy is on fire. Guerendo has a great opportunity, Bowers has been otherworldly, and it’s just hard to argue against what Ja’Marr Chase and Saquon Barkley have done. We see players emerge every year late in the season and make a huge difference. For anyone who acquired Jeudy or Guerendo on the cheap this year, you won the lottery it seems.

I’d be curious to see who you think could be in this group.  Post in the comments below!

Let’s get to it…

Fantasy MVP of the Week

What has happened with Jerry Jeudy? After looking like a near-bust, he’s been on a tear and capped off a big-time three week run with nine catches for 235 yards with a touchdown in a loss against the Broncos. This could be a mirage, but he’s also looked really good lately and his dynasty value is climbing.

Fantasy LVP of the Week

Three catches for 17 yards just isn’t going to do it, Cooper Kupp. When he’s played this year, he’s been dominant. However, this was a rough one for Kupp as he just couldn’t get going.

The Unbeatable Lineup of the Week

QB Jamies Winston CLE = 497 passing yards, four total touchdowns, three interceptions
RB Bucky Irving TB = 152 rushing yards, three catches, 33 receiving yards, one touchdown
RB Bijan Robinson ATL = 102 rushing yards, six catches, 33 receiving yards, one touchdown
RB Najee Harris PIT = 75 rushing yards, six catches, 54 receiving yards, one touchdown
WR Jerry Jeudy CLE = Nine catches, 235 receiving yards, one touchdown
WR Terry McLaurin WAS = Eight catches, 73 receiving yards, two touchdowns
WR Mike Evans TB = Eight catches, 118 receiving yards, one touchdown
TE Brock Bowers LV = Ten catches, 140 receiving yards, one touchdown

The Underdog Lineup of the Week

QB Russell Wilson PIT = 414 passing yards, three touchdowns, one interception
RB Rico Dowdle DAL = 112 rushing yards, three catches, 11 receiving yards, one touchdown
RB Kene Nwangwu NYJ = 157 return yards and a touchdown
RB Ray Davis BUF = 63 rushing yards, one catch, four receiving yards, one touchdown
WR Parker Washington JAX = Six catches, 103 receiving yards, one touchdown
WR Adam Thielen CAR =
Eight catches, 99 receiving yards, one touchdown
TE Zach Ertz WAS = Three catches, 35 receiving yards, one touchdown

The Disappointing Lineup of the Week

QB Trevor Lawrence JAX = 41 passing yards, one concussion
RB Breece Hall NYJ = 60 rushing yards, one fumble
RB Audric Estime DEN = 12 rushing yards
RB Kareem Hunt KC = 15 rushing yards, two catches
WR Quentin Johnston LAC = Two catches, 12 receiving yards
WR Tank Dell HOU = One catch, 23 receiving yards
WR Amari Cooper BUF = Three catches, 12 receiving yards
TE George Kittle SF = One catch, seven receiving yards

Gut Checks

I’d be worried if I thought Tee Higgins was going to cool off.

I’d be worried if I was starting Kyle Pitts.

I’d be worried if I was starting Rome Odunze.

I’d be worried if I thought Jonnu Smith was going to go downhill.

I’d be worried if I was starting Khalil Shakir.

I’d be worried if I had to rely on Marvin Harrison Jr. every week. The ceiling hasn’t been there yet.

I’d be worried if I thought CeeDee Lamb was going to bounce back this year.

I’d be worried if I missed out on Ladd McConkey earlier this season.

I’d be worried if I thought DJ Moore would keep this hot streak.

I’d be worried if I played against Jayden Daniels.

I’d be worried if I thought the Malik Nabers quarterback situation isn’t a problem.

I’d be worried if I was underestimating Jameis Winston to Jerry Jeudy combo.

I’d be worried if I was ignoring the big games from Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

I’d be worried if I was banking on Tyreek Hill for the playoffs.

I’d be worried if I wasn’t able to pick up Isaac Guerendo off waivers.

I’d be worried if I have Christian McCaffrey.

I’d be worried if I was hoping to start Tank Dell off the bench.

I’d be worried if I was underestimating Jakobi Meyers.

I’d be worried if I was thinking Gus Edwards would fill in admirably for JK Dobbins.

I’d be worried if I was playing against Brock Bowers.

I’d be worried if I was starting Rhamondre Stevenson.

I’d be worried if I was playing against Bucky Irving.
