The Jaguars have placed quarterback Trevor Lawrence on IR.
Read moreYou know what your team is at this point in the fantasy football season. You’re either waiting for the playoffs to start with a first-round bye in hand. Maybe your team started strong and you’re just holding on for dear life to qualify or maybe you’re making a late-season push. Or maybe you’ve stunk like a garbage can all season.
But there’s still an opportunity to rectify the season if you’re in the latter groups. Maybe you can secure an upset and knock your best friend out of the playoffs. Maybe you can swing for the fences on the waiver wire and identify players to target next season. Injuries truly do provide an opportunity at what future production may look like from depth players.

Let’s look at the various injuries heading into Week 13 and any concerns moving forward for your fantasy championships.
Injury: Neck
Timeline to Return: TBD
On Sunday, Sanders suffered a neck injury late in the first half against the Kansas City Chiefs. He attempted to run out of bounds to stop the clock but was pushed out by two Chiefs defenders, landing on the top of his head with his full body weight compressing downward. Trainers tended to him and placed him on a backboard per the Canadian C-Spine rules to safely get him off the field as he gave a thumbs up, typically a good sign.
He was evaluated at a local hospital and released later that evening but will have further testing to determine his availability moving forward. Whether he has a non-displaced fracture, disc herniation, or even spinal cord contusion isn’t known yet which makes forecasting his availability difficult. Sanders hasn’t been a huge fantasy producer this season but has come on late over the last few games in the offense. Tommy Tremble is next on the depth chart but you’d be better off looking at the waiver wire.
