Dynasty Fantasy Football Rankings: Cornerstone Report, Week Nine

Brandon Haye

Welcome to the Cornerstone Report, where we will check in on the young players in football (2025 eligible, rookies, and second year) each week! As the hottest commodities in dynasty and devy, these players can make or break your teams in the future. Here are some of the top headlines and reports for the future of the league.

De’Von Achane, RB MIA Back-to-Back Big Games

Achane has struggled this year without Tua Tagovailoa. In the two games since his return, he has over 100 yards and three total touchdowns. He has 16 or more touches in the last three games and is a must-start again. His rush attempts are still limited but the receptions help his value.

Zay Flowers, WR BAL Scores Twice in Rout of Broncos

Flowers has been up and down this season. He has four games under 40 yards this season, but he may have turned a corner. He has two straight games going over 100 yards. Against the Broncos he had five catches for 127 yards and two touchdowns. The trade for Diontae Johnson may take some targets away but it looks like Flowers is WR1 on the Ravens.

Bo Nix, QB DEN Struggles in a Blowout against the Ravens

Nix had a big game against the Panthers with three touchdowns, but he came back to earth in week nine. He had one interception and a completion percentage under 60%. That is five games this year with no passing touchdowns. The Broncos and Nix feasted on bad teams and should not be started unless in SF leagues.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR SEA Has the Best Game of his Career

The Seahawks were without DK Metcalf, and Smith-Njigba almost willed them to a win against the Rams. He caught seven of 13 targets for 180 yards and two touchdowns. It is just his second game with over 100 yards, but maybe he can start stringing production together in back-to-back games.

Colston Loveland, TE Michigan Shines against Oregon in a loss

Loveland has been the bright spot in the receiving game for the Wolverines. He went over 100 yards for the first time in the season. Loveland has six or more receptions in six out of eight games while missing two games because of injury. He is one of the top tight-end prospects and could have an immediate impact like Brock Bowers or Sam LaPorta.

Caleb Williams, QB CHI Struggles against the Cardinals

Williams looked like he was trending up with four games in which he had nine touchdowns, three interceptions, and two 300-yard games. In the last two games, he has regressed. In both games, he has completed under 60% and has no passing touchdowns. Williams’ rookie season is going to be up and down. So he looks to not be a consistent starter this year.
