Dynasty Fantasy Football: Traversing the Trade Finder

Welcome back to traverse the trade finder, a series where I pick two players and try to find what opportunities are available to us using the amazing Dynasty League Football Trade Finder tool. For those who are unfamiliar, this tool helps you find real trades being made in dynasty leagues with the ability to search for specific players or draft picks and to filter by various settings. We love to talk about finding opportunities in the dynasty trade market and this tool literally shows you these opportunities in action. This week I’ll be looking at two players in two very different sections of their careers.

For all trades, I will be using the following filters: 12 Teams, 2QB, and 1 point PPR.

Brandon Aiyuk, WR 49ers

Expectations were quite high for Brandon Aiyuk coming into the 2024 season after he had a career year in 2023. Aiyuk finished the season with 15.6 PPR PPG, was third among all wide receivers in yards per route run, second in yards per target, and second in yards per team pass attempt. Unfortunately, after holding out for most of the offseason before getting his new contract, Aiyuk was having a disappointing campaign in 2024. For the year Aiyuk was outside the top 24 at his position in all the metrics he did so well in the year before. Even worse is that he suffered a serious knee injury that ended his season. Now the next time we see Aiyuk might not be until the 2025 season has already started and our last memory will be of him failing to meet expectations. So, what do you do with that?
