49ers running back Isaac Guerendo posted 78 yards and two touchdowns and caught 2-of-2 targets for 50 yards in the 49ers’ Week 14 win over the Bears.
Read moreTaking advantage of potential valuation trends in the trade market is imperative. That is even more true during the season when players can experience wild valuation changes on a week-to-week basis. Each week, I will be highlighting some players you should be looking to move or acquire and the reasons why.
If you look at the box score, you're probably not excited about the first five games of Polk's career. He has not broken three receptions in a game and has never scored more than ten fantasy points. However, if you look at the underlying stats, his playing time has steadily increased, and he is now an every-snap player. He has been above a 20% target share in the past two games, and on Sunday, he should have secured a touchdown but couldn't quite get his heel in bounds. Despite being an every-snap player commanding a 20% target share, he isn't likely to be fantasy-relevant with Jacoby Brissett under center.
However, Drake Maye is taking over as the starter, and this whole offense will get more interesting. If you can buy low on Polk off the back of his disappointing production to date, he could be one of the rookies who exponentially increases his value in the second half of the season. The trade analyzer has him currently worth a mid-2025 third-round pick. I think you would likely have to pay more than that to acquire him, but it would be a good starting point, and I'd be willing to go up to a mid to late second-round pick to bring him onto my roster.
