The NFL owners failed to pass a rule banning the "tush push."
Read moreFollowing Week 5, injuries continued to pile on every week, but players are beginning to come back from injured reserve which can provide extra options to fill out your roster. Navigating where to find value in a player’s availability or production off injury could be the difference in winning week in and week out.
I am Kyle Trimble, a Doctor of Physical Therapy and injury analyst at Dynasty League Football. I am here every week to break down the latest injuries and provide perspective on how to navigate the pitfalls that are injuries.
I would also encourage you to tune in to the DLF YouTube channel (make sure to subscribe!) to tune in to helpful content throughout the week.
Let’s look at the various injuries heading into Week 6 and any concerns moving forward for your fantasy championships.
Injury: Right MCL sprain
Timeline to Return: Week 7-8
After returning from a right high-ankle sprain that he suffered in Week 1, Njoku left the game after just one catch for 14 yards suffering a right knee sprain. Details are scarce as to the level of severity but given that this was the same side on which he injured his ankle, he may have to sit out another week or two to allow himself to push off the leg effectively.
Watch the injury reports on Njoku this week but start looking around for a replacement if he doesn’t get a limited practice in by Thursday. Teammate Jordan Akins should see an increase in snaps but look at Zach Ertz with a juicy matchup against Baltimore.
