Dynasty Injury Report: Week Four

Kyle Trimble

We have arrived at the first quarter of the season with plenty of teams exceeding expectations while others have fallen flat on their faces. Injuries have contributed to the successes and failures, but they could be making or breaking your fantasy rosters each and every week.

I am Kyle Trimble, a Doctor of Physical Therapy and injury analyst at Dynasty League Football. I am here every week to break down the latest injuries and provide perspective on how to navigate the pitfalls that are injuries.

I would also encourage you to tune in to the DLF YouTube channel (make sure to subscribe!) to tune in to helpful content throughout the week.

Let’s look at the various injuries heading into Week 5 and any concerns moving forward for your fantasy championships.

Anthony Richardson, QB IND

Injury: Right hip pointer

Timeline to Return: Week 5

Richardson injured his right hip on the opening drive against the Steelers with a 16-yard run up the middle. When he was tackled, he was hit from behind on the back and grabbed at the area in pain. After briefly leaving, he was able to come back in and run again before injuring the same area, eventually being ruled out.

A hip pointer is a contusion to the iliac crest of the hip where the abdomen connects. This is more of a pain issue but can affect how the abdomen contracts with running and throwing. I expect Richardson to be limited in practice during the week but play on Sunday with padding around the area to limit re-injury. Start him confidently, but his rushing totals may be reduced to avoid unnecessary hits.

Taysom Hill, TE NO
