Dynasty Fantasy Football: Traversing the Trade Finder

Welcome back to Traversing the Trade Finder, a series where I pick two players and try to find what opportunities are available to us using the amazing Dynasty League Football Trade Finder tool. For those who are unfamiliar, this tool helps you find real trades being made in dynasty leagues with the ability to search for specific players or draft picks and to filter by various settings. We love to talk about finding opportunities in the dynasty trade market and this tool literally shows you these opportunities in action.

This week I’ll be taking a look into two veteran wide receivers who are in a position to out-produce their dynasty rankings.

For all trades, I will be using the following filters: 12 Teams, 2QB, and 1 point PPR.

Diontae Johnson, WR CAR

This off-season the Panthers traded for Johnson as they looked to add better weapons for their quarterback Bryce Young, giving Johnson a chance at a new life. He has had an underappreciated career to this point. He has been an elite target earner averaging 8.3 targets per game in his career and a solid fantasy contributor even peaking with 17.2 PPR points per game in 2021. But Johnson’s career has been maligned by some inconsistency and poor quarterback play, causing some fantasy managers to be uninterested in his services. With the Panthers, Johnson projects to be the number one option for Young in a new offense under Dave Canales and has a good chance to be a WR2 for fantasy teams.
